OT - need some support and prayers

I know a lot of the people that were here back when I had my TT are no longer, but I know some of you still are.  For the ones that remember, at that time, my niece and mom were really sick as well.  You all helped me with your well wishes and prayers.  My niece has made a full recovery (for the most part), which is amazing considering she almost died.  She met with the doctor that did her open heart surgery today, and he was pleased to see how well she was doing.  I truly believe in the power of prayer, and I thank all of you who were out there praying for us!!

I need them again now.  My mom has been sick since before Christmas.  She finally broke down and went in for a CT scan.  They've found a large mass on her ovary and possibly her uterus.  It's so large that it's pushing on her liver, causing it to malfunction.  Her enzymes are way off.  She's on her way to the hospital now to be admitted.  They'll most likely do a biopsy to find out what this "mass" is, then go from there.  

I'm an absolute mess, you guys!  I don't think I cried this much when I found out I had thyroid cancer!!  And you know, maybe I'd be more positive about this if I hadn't just gone through this.  I'm so very scared.  So please say some prayers for her if you would.

Hugs to you-  Even though I have not been here often lately ALL of you are still in my thoughts and prayers.

A friend of mine recently went through this and although the doc said HOLY MOLY WE FOUND JIMMY HOFFA!!!  After surgery was over due to the largeness of the growth,  she has been recovering nicely and was back to her old self within 8 weeks.

Hang in there friend - we're here for you.

Please pray hard, you guys.  I'm just home for a minute to grab my jammies and go back down to mom's.  I spent the day there, and she's not doing well at all.  She's not able to eat because she's so nauseated, so she's really weak.  I got her some ensure today, but even that wants to come up.

She seems to have gone downhill really fast, and I'm really scared.  She can't go on like this much longer.  She's taking pain pills around the clock, and my mom doesn't even like to take tylenol!  

I'll keep you posted when I can.  Thanks again to all of you.

I will be praying for your mother and your family as you go through this rough time!  My mother has had colon cancer twice and breast cancer and now has a mass on her pancreas!  The mass on her pancreas is not cancer so they are just watching it for now!  It is very hard to see our loved ones go through this!  She is doing fine and I believe in the power of prayer!

I just got a call from Mom, and they're releasing her for the weekend.  They weren't really going to do anything with her anyway.  Why, I don't know.  But she wanted to be home with her family while she waited for them to get it together.  Apparently, they're going to do a biopsy next week.  She said they strongly suspect cancer.  But we won't know until they get in there, right?  I'm trying to be positive, guys......really I am!

It'll be nice to have her back home though.  I'm going to be spending as much time as possible with her....trying to keep her spirits up too.  

I know miracles can happen - we've already had one in our family.  Hopefully we can pull off another.  Thank you again from the bottom of my heart.  I don't know any of you personally, but it sure feels like another family out here.  Hugs to you all!!!

I'll be praying for you!  I know I'm not so good right now either - but maybe if we put our shoulders together - we'll both be able to stand up straight!

I'm very impressed with the family support here.  Its nice to see that a sisters issue was harder than your own.  That's a good family bond!  I wish I had that.

I have 2 sisters and 1 brother.  My one sister that calls on occasion - keeps laughing at me everytime I cry - so I hung up on her tonight.  My other sister just reluctantly offered help yesterday!  Like I haven't needed it for weeks!  Or made plans for the next 2 weeks already.  She wouldn't have called - she was just here for my daughters birthday.  My brother - nothing.  He didn't return my call this week - he never does!  And he didn't show up for my daughters birthday on wednesday. Or my other daughters birthday in december. Nice - right!  

So I will pray for your mother - because you care about her!  And bonds like that need to be kept strong!  You are a good rock for her!  You're there when she needs you!  Your tears show her how much she means to you!

I had a harder time when I found out my sister had thyca than when I found out I did.  I think we feel helpless when it's our loved ones.  

Just be there for your mom, let her know how much you love her  and when YOU need support come to us.

My sister's surgeries (and cancer) was harder than mine.  Watching my daughter go through it was so much more difficult than mine.  I understand you falling apart.   Lean on us honey, we're here for you!!!

Thank you....I just knew I could count on all of you wonderful folks out here.  I just got home from the hospital.  They haven't done much with her at this point, just chest x-rays and took blood.  She's supposed to meet with the surgeons tomorrow morning.  Not sure if they'll biopsy or just try to take it out.  She's so uncomfortable, and I just feel bad for her.  

You know, I want to know yet I don't want to know.  It's so hard!  She's not only my mom, but one of my best friends as well.  I'm emotionally whipped.  My eyes are pathetic looking from crying so much.  Some rock I am for her, huh?  I'm trying....really I am.  Tomorrow is a new day.

My mum had cancer on her uterine walls- they did a hysterectomy and she is now 100%.
Luckily, all those girl parts are not crucial for life- so I pray that for your mum it will be a simple matter of a surgery.
Could be all sorts of things- eg fybroids.
Let us know how she goes.
