Hey. I am going for blood work to get a second opinion on my thyroid. I swear I have hypothyroidism.
Anyway what are the specific tests I should ask for again.
I also have another question. I know all the results should be in the normal range, yet people still have symptoms. What should be done in the case. A low dose thyroid med??

Hi btw I forgot to add , it's fine now I'm on a supplement
But it was low before.

Hmmm.  The degree of vitamin D (and calcium) deficiency is significantly associated with the degree and severity of hypothyroidism. The possible explanations for low vitamin D levels with hypothyroidism: poor absorption of vitamin D from the intestine or the body may not activate vitamin D properly. Current recommended vitamin D levels for optimal health that I have read from various studies: 40 to 60 ng/mL (100-150 nmol/L) year round.
