Recurring Subacute Thyroiditis

Anyone here experience recurring Subacute Thyroiditis?

I suffered from it three times in the last four years and once before that which caused pericarditis.

This time I was extremely sick with the symptoms (still ongoing). It started back in the beginning of October with what I thought was costochondritis. I now think it was referred pain from my thyroid because my knees hurt bad.

Yes, it recurs in only 2% of patients.

I do not have Lyme disease.

John D. Bleiweiss, M.D., a Lyme Disease specialist, states "Subacute thyroiditis is the most prevalent thyroid phenomenon I see in LD." That is interesting considering subacute thyroiditis is a rare condition.
