Solid Nodule

I just got the results for an ultrasound which showed a 1cm solid nodule.  I was ordered to have a biopsy done.  I also got the results for an thyroglobulin antibodies test, and it came out ok.  Would that mean that I don't need the biopsy any longer?  Thanks

You still need to have the biopsy done so the pathologist can look at the cells of the tissue that is removed.  That is the only safe way to determine what the consistency of the nodule.  Best of luck.

I would still have the biopsy done, as it can help your doctors determine what type of nodule you have.  Before having my FNA biopsy, I had all sorts of tests done on the nodule I had - ultrasound, blood tests, and thyroid uptake and scan.
