Some say ERFA was changed in 2014., comments anyone?

This is news to me. Hopefully we will just need to up our dose. I am not one to have an opinion on this subject yet. Since I am in the long process of treating a tick borne illness, I dont feel well anyway.

These are some recent quotes I found on the web about ERFA natural thyroid from Canada:

"............I have some of the old Erfa pills and some of the new ones, and I can see a clear difference in the color of the pills, the older ones are lighter in color and more white, and the new ones are a bit darker and more beige in color, did anyone else find that? If they haven’t changed the pills, why are they a different color?!? (I have two different bottles of the older stuff, and one bottle of the new stuff, and both the older ones are the same more whiteish color, and the new one is darker and more beige\yellowy"

"........newer pills are a beige color. That was the first thing that I noticed when I opened up the bottle. When I went to take the pills sublingually, I noticed that they didn’t dissolve in my mouth like the older ones used to. They were much harder and were “grainy” in texture............."

time will tell.

Hi there,

I am curious to know if the last batch you received from Canada is a good one and if yes, would you mind letting me know which supplier you used?

Thanks so much in advance.

The A.b,o,u,t thyroid (Mary's) site has a thread about this, with people who contacted ERFA. No article written by Mary yet.

ERFA claims the manufacturing was changed from Belgium to Spain, but the ingredient were not changed.

Some people are bringing up the possibility of the manufacturing process -or maybe a bad batch of the dessicated powder used.

There were roumers of counterfeit Erfa last year I think. I get mine right from Canada, not some shady supplier for  a $10 savings. I just ordered again, I'll see it in about  weeks. x-ing my fingers that I'll get a good batch.

I can't help but wonder you'd be getting old stock, when others are getting new stock.

It's very possible that some people are getting counterfeit ERFA.  Isn't the one made in Taiwan supposed to be just like ERFA, or did I misunderstand that?

Maybe it's time to contact the manufacturer and find out what they have to say.

I always keep some low quantities from past refills. 2 batches are from 2013 and one from Feb '14.

They were all the same color. All split the same too - similar density.

I wonder if some people on other forums have counterfeit ERFA?

-Or, what I got in Feb was older back stock. I'll know when I get my new bottle.
