TSH and hyperthyroid questions

Well I got a copy of my labs that I had done yesterday.  TSH is 0.86, hospital had normal range as 0.3-5.6.  My doctor also did a cholesterol check and it is high, over the normal limits.  My LDL cholesterol is well over the normal range.  Is this enough to diagnose hyperthyroidism or will I need to have T3 and T4 tested too?  -Liz

I would recommend reading The Thyroid Solution by Ridha Arem M.D. before you rule out a Thyroid imbalance in spite of TSH range results.

According to your hospital range you are not hyperthyroid due to your TSH being in hospital normal range.
