Thyroid Tired.

Is anyone else really tired all the time, can't go or have any energy to do anything that you like to do? I have had thyroid issues for the last 3 yrs and my doc keeps changing the dosage of my thyroid med. I just want this to be stable or normal if that's possible. Please help me to understand this.

I take Daily Extra vitamins from the vitamin discount center, when I first took it within 2 to 3 day had so much energy. Yes sometimes I still tired but not like I used to be.

On what basis is the doctor changing your dosage?  If it is based on your TSH level, that strictly doesn't work.  A good thyroid doctor will treat a hypo patient clinically by testing and adjusting Free T3 and Free T4 as necessary to relieve symptoms, without being constrained by resultant TSH levels.  You can get some good insight into clinical treatment from this letter written by a good thyroid doctor for patients that he sometimes consults with after initial tests and evaluation.  The letter is then sent to the participating doctor of the patient to help guide treatment.  In the letter, please note the statement, "the ultimate criterion for dose adjustment must always be the clinical response of the patient."

If you will post your thyroid related test results and their reference ranges we can better assess your situation.  Also, if tested for Vitamin D, B12 and ferritin, plese post those, with ranges, as well.
