Total Thyroidectomy

Is there anyone on here who has had a Total Thyroidectomy and is back to their old selfs today....if so, Please give me some pointers on how you did it. I have problem after problem and issue after issue, two years after my surgery and nothing is helping...I am due to see my endo in a week and he will get an ear full from me. He doesn't want to add cytomel to my synthroid because my labs are within range, even though I am not! I have loads of medical and mental issues and I am fed up with doctors blaming it on something else.

I had a TT almost 4 years ago, but was back to my old self at about 2 years.  It took changing doctors and meds, but it was totally worth it.  I did have a hysterectomy at the 2 year mark and I am 2 years beyond that as well.  I feel like my old self - well, minus some parts ;)  Hang in there!

I am 5 weeks post-op now and while I am not feeling like my old self yet, I AM feeling much better than the hyper swinging stuff I was going through.  I pray this will continue!

I had a TT almost 18yrs ago. I can't be much help however.

I was to busy with full time work & a 1yr old. If I had issues, I did not realize it.

I was too afraid to miss work back then.

Now for the last 3 yrs I have had medical issues, but not related to thyroid.
Too this day I am still hyper, but it won't show on the TSH tests. I still have insomnia & underweight.
