Loaned some of my treasured books out and have been up about 24 hrs, so brain is numb, but can remember that I'm not supposed to take veggies such as cauliflower, broccoli, cabbage, turnips, and rutabas within so long after taking Armour thyroid, within so many hours after the med, so never have it until 3:00 PM or later, so as not to negate the medicine.  Think the same was true when I took Synthroid many years ago, but the way I understand it, it wouldn't hurt or help the thyroid directly, but would prevent the med from optimum delivery if I ate those veggies within a certain length of time after taking the meds.  Could never remember how many hours---3? 4?---so gave myself the 3:00 PM rule, because I always take the Armour first thing when I wake up.  The really important question is what protocol are you following now that you have been diagnosed with thyroid cancer.  Also, what about surgery?   What about a naturopath or nutritionist in conjunction with your current doctors?  Certainly wish you luck with this.  Keep us posted.

To TheCarMan-------thanks so much for the belly laugh!  I needed that!

Well I can not think of anything due to the cancer.

HAs the thyroid been removed yet? If so you need to follow a hypothyroid diet to achieve the best health for yourself.
