Are these blood tests useful for people who have autoimmune hypothyroidism?

Hello. I am a 47-year-old male, and I have autoimmune hypothyroidism.

According to some articles, a person who has an autoimmune disease may have an immune system that is out of balance. That person should determine which portion of his immune system (Th1 or Th2) is the dominant one. Once that determination has been made, the immune system can be "rebalanced" with certain supplements.

One article that describes this "balancing" issue is the following:

https://hypothyroidmom.com/autoimmune-patients-have-you-heard-of-th1-and-th2-dominance/

There is a blood test called the Th1 Th2 Cytokine Test. It is being offered by a company called TrueHealthLabs.com. Here is the description of the test on the company's website:

https://www.truehealthlabs.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=Dx%5FSolution%5FCytoDx

Supposedly, this test can determine which portion of the immune system is the dominant one.

The founder of TrueHealthLabs.com, Dr. Brady Hurst, has stated that every person who has an autoimmune disease should get the Cytokine Test and the CD4:CD8 Ratio Panel. Dr. Hurst describes these tests on the following web page:

https://drbradyhurst.com/three-secret-laboratory-tests-for-autoimmunity/

According to the company RequestATest.com, the CD4:CD8 Ratio Panel is primarily used to monitor the progression of HIV. Please see the following link:

https://requestatest.com/cd4cd8-ratio-profile-testing

So, has anyone on this forum had the Th1 Th2 Cytokine Test and/or the CD4:CD8 Ratio Panel? Are these tests useful for people who have autoimmune hypothyroidism?

Thank you.

The article you linked is an old one (from 2015) and isn't real helpful.  At one time we had some people on the forum who swore by the TH1 and TH2 dominance theory, but it's pretty much fallen out of favor, at this point.  I don't know of anyone on the forum who has had the test you're referring to or that it would be all that helpful.

There are other tests would probably be more beneficial, such as a vitamin/mineral panel, etc.
