What do I do

I have been diagnosed with a level of Thyroid peroxidase abs of 1111.8 iu/ml   0-60 and serum potassium 5.6 mmol/L (3.5-5.3)

TSH  August 6.5       September  3.9  mu/L (0.3-5.5)
Serum free T4 level 12.1 pmol/L  (11-24)
Serum free T3  4.4 pmol/L

My GP says that I am developing Hashimotto thyroidits and that for the time being there is nothing I can do about it. When the hormone levels are lower they will give me artificial Thyroxine.

i am doing a PhD writing my thesis and really struggling with it! is it already side effects of this problem? Or I am just being stressed about it? Is already possible that difficulties in concentration are affecting me? Can I still reverse this problem? What, if treatment would you recommend.

I have 3 months to finish my thesis I need focus... please give me some expert advice?

Thanking you in advance

See if you don't have any kidney problem , must see again your potassium levels....There are many conditions responsible for high potassium. You should go to an ENDO.

You have the same problem I had, I was writing my phD thesis, start to be sick and found out I had Hashi (TPO antibodies more then 1000). my levels were similar as yours, but I wasn't medicated, they told me it was Stress (I couldn't believe it), now I feel good and (I've finished my thesis in February) my TSH last time I've measured was 2.9 (June), and tomorrow I'll know the results of my last analyses. But each case is a case, so keep looking to your TSH values. Took me 5 months to get better.....
