What does it mean to have .....High WBC in blood and slightly high ketone levels in urine?

WBC is 13.9 and ketones are slightly high, also this individual has been diagnosed with Hiroshima thyroid. Any ideas what the problem is?

We already have an appointment with a doctor for next week but I am just curious
Thanks

I hope you can get her to the Doctor very soon as it is a serious condition having ketones in the urine.
Something that has to be monitored daily until there are no traces of keytones.
As I said, a diabetes test is in order if possible.

Thanks so much for commenting on it !! Yeah I missed spelled Hashimoto's thyroid. All these results came because she just got a physical done to get into the nursing program at her school. Hopefully we will be going to the Doctor soon, that's if I can convince her to go. Thanks again

With keytones in the urine, that usually means Diabetes.

Keytones are an acid created when the body burns its own fat. Keytones are common in Type 1 diabetics because the body cannot get enough glucose from the blood. The insulin cannot deliver energy to the body’s cells, so the body has a survival mechanism that begins burning fat. In most Type 1 diabetics there may not be a lot of fat to burn. Diabetics may want to know what their keytone level are as a means of managing their blood glucose levels more efficiently

Its not unusual to have two Autoimmune Diseases,
One being Hashimotos (low thyroid hormone levels) and two, Diabetes.

I havent come across anyone yet who has Keytones and isnt a Diabetic.
Get that checked as soon as possible.
Good Luck :)

Do you mean Hashimoto's? Can you tell us what tests the Dr did?
A high WBC means an infection. This could possibly be from the Hashi's.
I'm fairly new to thyroid problems and I'm sure more experienced members will be better able to answer your questions. Take care. Remar
