U/S results...

My scan results done in June...My biopsy is on Tuesday, what do you think..do i panic now:)

The right lobe 1.4x 1.7x 4.1cm
Left lobe 1.9x 1.8x 4.2cm
The gland shows diffuse heterogeneous echogenicity. A echogenic nodular like area is seen in the mid portion of the left lobe measuring 11mm. No other convincing discrete nodual is evident. There appears to be slight diffuse increased vascularity seen throughout the thyroid parenchyma when studied on colored dopplers. There is no retrosternal extension or cervical lymphadenopathy.

Conclusion... The nature of the described hetrogeneous echogenicity of the thyroid parenchyma is uncertain in the context of only one discrete echogenic nodual. The increased vascularity could reflect underlying thyroiditis. further assesment of the solitary nodual with FNA may be appropriate..   Thank, Dawn.

You definately have an autoimmune disease...Hashi's.
The radiographer who did the report on the scan may not have known you have Hashi's and has stated thyroiditis instead but your antibodies show Hashi's.
I dont think there is any need for any panic with the nodule...most come back benign.
But with the high antibodies....it is destroying your thyroid pretty fast.
Are you on a T4 med? If not..you should be with your TSH that high.

You have a large nodule but the scan says no sign of autoimmune and it may be thyroiditis.
Have you had Hyper symptoms?
