Meant to say, also, that you only need to avoid grains if they bother you when you eat them.

No, it's not true that all people with Hashi's have a gluten intolerance, or must follow a g/f diet.  There are many people with Hashi' s who are not intolerant to gluten and there are a lot of people who do NOT have Hashi's that ARE intolerant.

Since it's quite likely to get more than one autoimmune, it's not unusual that many people with Hashi's have celiac disease.

Hi, No not all Hashimoto's sufferers have a Gluten Issue, Celiac Disease I believe is the name of the Gluten intolerance disease, it is also classifeid as an Auto-immune Disease, from what I have been reading recently, They are saying that all wheat products, including Whole wheat and whole grain has been modifeid so much to provide a higher yeild for commercial farms that it is no longer healthy to eat. In addition to this claim, Dr. Oz just had a cardiac MD as a guest and he confirmed that wheat products are so filled with toxins from spraying and have been geneticly altered to prove bulkier plants. So it might not be a bad idea to play it safe and just stay away from wheat products all together. Good Luck FTB4
