I agree with Kitty.
If you have HE, and if you have been given the proper steroid treatment, you should have responded within a week or two.
Either the treatment is wrong, or the diagnosis.

Results are seen very quickly once steroids are started.
I believe that is correct, although my memory may be faulty.
HE is supposedly bery responsive to steroids. (I just did a search on it yesterday)
If it hasn't resonded to steroids, the diagnosis may need to be revisited.
Did a neurologist diagnose you?
What are your symptoms?
Google Hashimoto's Encephelopathy and you will find a woman you may be able to have a dialogue with.
It is a very rare condition, and thank God I don't know anyone on the board who has experienced it. You have my deepest sympathy. It is very hard to diagnose, and the treatment is pretty straightforward, but not all doctors may be capable of following directions.
You are welcome here on the board, and we can offer you support and advice that may be of dubious value, but I don't think you will find a member here who has walked in your shoes.
There are probably less than fifty people in the U.S. being treated for it right now. Last time I researched it there were fifteen known documented cases.
