While you  may start seeing some minor improvements, it takes approximately 4-6 weeks for the medication to reach full potential in your body.  Even at that, if your FT4 was really only 0.04 (please check to make sure it wasn't 0.4), it's going to take a while to bring it up.

Along with that, it doesn't appear that you are being tested for Free T3, which is the actual "usable" thyroid hormone, so you don't know if you are converting the FT4 properly, either.

Ask your doctor to test for both FT3 and FT4, along with the TSH. Have you been tested for thyroid antibodies to confirm or rule out an autoimmune thyroid disease?

Have patience - it's taken some of us years to get rid of symptoms, often because of improper diagnosis and treatment by our doctors.

It's possible that your symptoms aren't all caused by hypothyridism. That being said, I found that my bowel movements, sleep, and energy normalized after only 3 weeks of being on my medication. After about a month + my hair started getting thicker. I'm still having difficulties with my weight and really have to work at it, but so far I've lost 4lbs/ 2kgs since I started taking them 2.5 months ago. (Really doesn't sound like much but after 8 months of not loosing anything it feels like a lot to me.) It happened pretty quickly for me, but it may take a while until they find the correct dosage for you. Unfortunately there is no obvious time line, just a trial and error it seems.
