im new, and lost

im  new, like 2 minutes ago new. i dont really know where to begin but i have not been feeling well for years. and it seems that i have been getting worse and worse. i have looked up some of my symptoms and "they" say it could be adrenal fatigue but then i read that doctors dont recognize that. i just want to feel better

i have 2 children. they are almost 4 and 5. id have to say i was starting to go down heal about the time i got pregnant with my daughter but over the last 2 years it's been the worst. im always sick. i have headaches and migraines regularly. i wake up as tired as i fell asleep. i am exhausted all day till it gets a couple hrs before i go to bed. my hands are starting to swell at night. my anxiety is at an all time high. so is my irritability. i'm on depression meds. i suffer from insomnia at times. out of no where i have developed allergies. i get sweats with i get upset and am cold all the time. the feeling of air moving over my skin is irritating. i forget a lot (where i put stuff, that i went to the store and got groceries - then left them there). etc

i had my thyroid checked a couple years ago to find out my dr thought it was fine. but something is wrong. i see it, my husband sees it, family, everyone but my dr. i dont know where to start to find someone who can help me figure this out.

I suggest a good endocrinologist.  I've also learned to get the actual results (numbers) not just, "in the range."  I also had doctors tell me for years that I was in the range so I was fine.  Only when I went to see an endocrinologist did she say that while my numbers were in the range, they were low in the range and my doc should have been treating me since I had symptoms.

I agree with Julie. You need to get the Anti-TPO (autoimmune antibody test) to determine if you have Hashimotos Thyroiditis. Also need to have  FreeT3, FreeT4, Cortisol, D3 levels, B12 levels and ferratin (iron).
I too felt unwell for YEARS having several doctors recommend anti-depressants, stomach meds, NSAIDS, etc. Nothing helped.
THEN finally some appropriate blood work which out all the pieces of the puzzle together.
I am taking natural dessicated thyroid replacement. It helps although it does not "cure" hashis. It will never be cured - only "treated".

have your thyroid checked again. not just your TSH, T3/T4 but also thyroid anitbodies. I felt horrible for years and deep down knew it was my thyroid but my levels always came up pretty good. eventually my antibodies were tested and I did have hashimotos thyroiditis. (you can have the antibodies and it can take time for your thyroid levels to be off). once i was finally treated I felt so much better. I cant say if this is your problem but i can definitly relate to that feeling of knowing something is wrong and not having answers!! just keep pestering your doctor you'll find out eventually!!
