Does anyone know how exercise effects calcium levels? I'm 3 weeks post TT. I've had 2 episodes of tetany due to low calcium since my surgery, both requiring IV calcium. Now I'm on lots of calcium every day. I started working out several days ago, and I've noticed that 2 hours or so after I work out, I start having the numbness around my mouth and the facial tics that I had prior to both bouts of tetany. I'm wondering if I am somehow using up too much calcium when I'm working out. I know it's not too much thyroid meds, since I havent been on any since the surgery, and my TSH was 19 last week. I've tried to call my doctor, but haven't heard back, yet. Thanks!
