Thats usually the case Dawn but I have to take one as soon as I wake and thats at 5.30am.
I find no side effects taking the thyroxin an hour and a half later and as for the thyroxin absorbing...seems my FT4 sometimes converts TOO well lol.
With heart meds..many dont have a choice and have to take them when they wake.
Mine are spaced out during the day.
So its not just one pill a day.
One at 5.30am, 1/2 at 10am....1/3 at midday, 1.2 at 2pm and 1/2 at 6pm.
This is to ensure I am covered for the irregular heartbeat which caused a heart attack in 1994.

So really 7am is about the only time I can take mine without any effect on the thyroxin.
Ive done this from day one and been fine.

I was told to separate my thyroid med to any other meds by 4 hours? Including any vitamins as well..

I once took a heart tablet and thyroxin together and believe me, I would never go down that path again!
I was totally disorientated, off my face and felt like I was dying.
So now I take the heart med at 5.30am and the thyroxin at 7am and no bad effects.
Redhead is right...nothing to be taken within an hour before or after thyroxin.

It is not advisable to take ANYTHING with your thyroid medication. Simple reason being the thyroxine will bind to whatever else you are taking and be non-effective.
It could well be a reaction to taking both together. Take your thyroid meds first tihing in the morning then wait at least an hour then take the other medication and see if in a week you are still having the same problems. It may well be something else entirely too.
Take care!
