Thyroid peroxidose microsomal was 1451

I don't know if I have an adrenal issue......I just have been on prednisolone for 21 yrs and dr. and I feel that my adrenals are probably atrophied !
When I mentioned stress, I meant that I pushed myself a lot to achieve!
Thanks again for caring.......
Just curious again..... do you happen to know the names of the antibody tests that were done?
Which adrenal issue do you have?
When you mention the stress of your workouts at the gym, are you referring to the activity, itself, or do the workouts actually cause you great stress?
Thanks for the encouragement Candy ! It is frustrating........
I have been short of breath upon minimal exertion for a year....no change despite TSH being 2.89 or .01.
I have seen my antibody tests, and one was off the chart, and the other was about 10 points above the number that suggested the highest limit for NOT having Graves Disease.....so with all the symptoms, the doctor treated me with the RAI.
SInce I already had an autoimmune disease 31 yrs ago, I have been on prednisolone, 7.5 mg daily since then.....also have Hashimoto's. I keep asking the doctors if the stress of working out at the gym was too much for my body due to me not being able to make my own adrenaline...and that perhaps the shortness of breath is related to the now atrophied adrenal glands......answers from four drs. is no......sooooooooooooo.
Thank you so much for your encouragement !
I had graves 4yrs ago had RAI but didn't have shortness of breath until after i started med and then it tappered off ,I have noticed when my labs are too low or to high i have these symtoms so it varys thyroid affects everything so frustrating at times i know ,getting thyroid optimal is a process but hang in there it happens :)
I had shortness of breath when I was very hypo......so if your shortness of breath doesn't get better, you might want to have your thyroid hormones (not just TSH) tested to make sure you aren't headed to hypo, which you will eventually.
I'm kind of curious. If you don't mind my asking, on what basis were you diagnosed with Graves Disease? Do you have copies of your antibody tests?
Wow.......thank you so much ! You brightened my day ! Hugs:)
After RAI, it takes the thyroid time to "die". While it's doing that, symptoms often don't improve or can actually worsen a bit as the dying cells "dump" hormone into your bloodstream.
It will work. You have to have patience. Many doctors don't tell their patients that it can take several months before they feel better. Hang in there...you'll feel better.
All the best...
