"I have had the severe sweating when HYPER but have also had it when my FT3 plummetted. "
- so you didnt look hyper on labs, but had heat intolerance, correct?
I'm going through that now.
your quote -"My Eltroxin made me sweat when I was getting too much. "
Did your labs also support you being hyper at that time?
didnt meant to hyjack this post , this could help me.
Eltroxin is a T4 thyroid replacement hormone. Its not a water pill.
It is taken when thyroid levels are low or when there is hypothyroidism or an ablated/removed thyroid.
It has nothing to do with with 'fluid tablets'.
I hope that answers your question.
Is Eltroxin the same as hydrochlorothiazide (HCTZ)? Same question as for Smilerdeb. I've never heard of it Is it a water pill like HCTZ? Thanks for responding..
Thank you so much for your input. Is Eltroxin the same or similar to hydrochlorothiazide (HCTZ)? And what is FT3? I will discuss this with my Dr. Thanks again.
Eltroxin had a big write up here in Australia and New Zealand and was found to be 'not as potent' as it should be,
So instead Docs recommended that Eutroxzig be taken instead.
I have had the severe sweating when HYPER but have also had it when my FT3 plummetted.
Maybe try Eutroxzig instead of Eltroxin as Eutroxzig has only one filler and that is sodium whereas Eltroxin has sterate talc in it as a filler which a lot are sensitive too.
Just a suggestion.
Yes, it is a water pill. But it isn't supposed to work by making you sweat. I still sweat, but the sweat doesn't seem to be pouring off me into my eyes ,etc. now. Also I don't seem to be as anxious when trying to do a task.
Isn't HCTZ a water pill ?
My Eltroxin made me sweat when I was getting too much.
Thanks for your input. I think we do have to help ourselves in order to better help our Drs. I will be sure to let my Dr know. Thanks again!
It seems that we end up having to deal with trial and error much of the time. :)
Just keep a journal when you can and make sure your Dr is aware of what you are doing.
