thyroid problems

I had the left side of my throid removed with a signifigant multi nodular goiter in 07 it came back non cancerous,i have not had to take any medications and my levels are normal, I have recently gone back to the dr for a check up and have 2 masses growing where the thryroid used to be, is it possible for a thyroid to grow back ?and if it does is it possible to have the same problems? i have not been diagnosed with anything specific

Are the masses attached to the remaining portion of your thyroid?  How large are they? Have they been biopsied?

What are your current thyroid levels and have they done other testing?

I have never heard of thyroid regeneration, are you sure you don't have masses growning on your parathyroids?  Best thing to do...get your doctor's diagnosis and opinion...possibly get your surgeon's opinion too. Please let us know what you find out. :)
