Have you had a vitiain and mineral count. Sometimes the lack of anyone of them can create additional and quite severe problems. I have had friends with some major problems and one of them was always tired and kept fall asleep and they were very low on iron another with blood problems was low on "A" and another on "D" bth of these had to have injections for that particular vitimin so it is important along with all the other tests to have this one done. bestest
yes the endo ran a full thyroid panel on me and a antibody test, every thing came back as "normal although my urlogoist did say that when she did her panel in june of last year my TSH was on the low side.I didn't want to write a book with my first post but I'm 41 years old, I have a history of uncontroled blood pressure even on meds.I'm on 100mgs of a beta blocker right now. I have irregular heart beats all the time!! I went through surgical meopause when I was 22 years old, I had a mini stroke about a year ago when they found out I have a complete blockage of my left artey the doctors took my off my estrace pills :( .since then I have lost the 45 pounds,I do have hand tremors from time to time,my muscles are wasteing away( I use to be a dancer) I am always run down but I can't sleep, but there are times that I find I fall asleep at the worst times, like DRIVING!!! or at a business meeting, ect.I do head bobs all the time now,I am not on any anti -depressiants. and I want to keep it that way.Is there anything I should ask the doctors that I am missing?Or do you think I'm barking up the wrong tree? thanks for any feed back, Puddles66
Did the Endo run a full thyroid panel with TSH, Free T3, Free T4, and several antibody tests? Seven or eight tests altogether?
Did either doctor say that your TSH was at the low end of normal? If your TSH is in normal ranges, you probably are not hyper unless your TSH is at the bottom of normal, in which case you could develop symptoms.
Are you on anti-depressants? SSRIs can mess up thyroid tests. I'm not sure if they can cause false test results, or if they directly affect your hormone levels.
Lithium in particular can damage your thyroid, but that should make you hypo and show up on tests.
Are you having heart symptoms? Racing heart, skipped beats. Extreme fatigue? Muscle pain and shaky hands? Legs feel funny going up and down stairs?
Maybe you need to look at all the drugs and supplements you take, and see if they are interacting in such a way as to make you ill.
