what should I do now!?

hi everyone I need your help and thoughts, I have been seen by two doctors for graves in the past three weeks.I have lost 45 pounds in the last three months, my voice is always horsey,I can not STAND the cold or any temps that are way to hot or for that matter, I don't sleep for more that four hours at a time, my eyes have red circles around them and depending on the time of day are almost swelled shut! the skin around my eyes is wrinkled and dried which goes along with the rest of my body,it itches SO bad at times that it wakes me up when I finally do get to sleep, the urge to itch feels more like a a electrical shock than a regular "itching" my nose and  smell is even not right,I can't even discribe it,but with all of this going on I got a referal from my doctor to see a eye doctor because he thought it was a allergic reaction to "something"( remember this has been going on for more than two months) but when I saw the eye doctor he felt that it could be T.E.D( thyroid eye disease) my left eye was bulging out of  it's socket  and he thought that my thyroid felt inlarged so he thought that I should see a endo.specialist,my doctor was not happy about giving me the referal but he did, all of my blood work was " normal" so  the endo specialist  told me to go back to the eye doctor for a follow up and to have a blood draw in three months!!! then I go back to the eye doctor and he changes his mind now too,so he give me some cream to put on my eyes, pats me on my back and walks me out the door!! SO I call my doctor back to ask for a referal for a second option and he refuses to give me one!!! he wants me to come in so  he can "talk " to me about whats "going on " with me and why I'm having so many "issues".I though you could have signs of graves but  show normal levels, and if that is the case what can I do to get help.is there a test that would show that there is a problem? or am I really going crazy like my doctor would have me belive.please help anyone!!! has anyone gone though this before,I don't want to end up in a treatment center for a depressive condition that my doctor is convinced I've got!!!

Have you had a vitiain and mineral count. Sometimes the lack of anyone of them can create additional and quite severe problems. I have had friends with some major problems and one of them was always tired and kept fall asleep and they were very low on iron another with blood problems was low on "A" and another on "D" bth of these had to have injections for that particular vitimin so it is important along with all the other tests to have this one done. bestest

yes the endo ran a full thyroid panel on me and a antibody test, every thing came back as "normal although my urlogoist did say that when she did her panel in june of last year my TSH was on the low side.I didn't want to write a book with my first post but I'm 41 years old, I have a history of uncontroled blood pressure even on meds.I'm on 100mgs of a beta blocker right now. I have irregular heart beats all the time!! I went through surgical meopause when I was 22 years old, I had a mini stroke about a year ago when they found out I have a complete blockage of my left artey the doctors took my off my estrace pills :( .since then I have lost the 45 pounds,I do have hand tremors from time to time,my muscles are wasteing away( I use to be a dancer) I am always run down but I can't sleep, but there are times that I find I fall asleep at the worst times, like DRIVING!!! or at a business meeting, ect.I do head bobs all the time now,I am not on any anti -depressiants. and I want to keep it that way.Is there anything I should ask the doctors that I am missing?Or do you think I'm barking up the wrong tree? thanks for any feed back, Puddles66

Did the Endo run a full thyroid panel with TSH, Free T3, Free T4, and several antibody tests? Seven or eight tests altogether?

Did either doctor say that your TSH was at the low end of normal? If your TSH is in normal ranges, you probably are not hyper unless your TSH is at the bottom of normal, in which case you could develop symptoms.

Are you on anti-depressants? SSRIs can mess up thyroid tests. I'm not sure if they can cause false test results, or if they directly affect your hormone levels.

Lithium in particular can damage your thyroid, but that should make you hypo and show up on tests.

Are you having heart symptoms? Racing heart, skipped beats. Extreme fatigue? Muscle pain and shaky hands? Legs feel funny going up and down stairs?

Maybe you need to look at all the drugs and supplements you take, and see if they are interacting in such a way as to make you ill.
