Is your fibrosis score considered along with your MELD score when being considered for a liver transplant?

Is your fibrosis score considered along with your MELD score when being considered for a liver transplant?

I have F3 fibrosis with a MELD score of 14. Do they consider your liver grade and staging when being considered for getting on the list? Does age and blood type factor in when deciding where to put you on the list? ( I have a rare blood type thats why I ask.) Any answers would be very helpful as I know very little about the details of the order of the list. Thank you

I believe you have to be at end stage liver disease, meaning
cirrhosis, to be listed..  They consider all factors, you would have to
go through the evaluation for TP, that will tell you more
or less where you should be at this point.  UNOS has
guildlines they follow.

My son was listed with end stage, cirrhosis with a MELD of
15-16.

I could be wrong however, I've not heard of anyone being listed
at F-3 fibrosis with a MELD of 14.

I wish you good luck
