whether eye can be transplanted, if the eyeball is removed?

My brother met with an accident and he got injured in his left eye. And he got operated. I want to know whether he can get his vision back by transplantaion. Is the transplantation is possible in this case?
This is the operation note-
*Left open globe injury
*Left extensive globe rupture
*Superior 180 degree
*Posterior sclera trayed extensively
*Extensive ureal tissue prolapse with vitreous loss
