Brand New Concussion

Hello!

A few days ago i received a concussion from hitting the back of my head on the bottom of a pool (filled with water thank goodness).  I went to my doctor the next day and she told me that a headache and a little bit of dizziness would be normal for a couple weeks.  Anyways my question is this.  I've had a non-stop bad headache for 6 days now, extremely bad dizzy spells, i have to wear sunglasses inside becuase light makes my headache increase.  I have problems talking and get easily confused when i do talk.  As far as i know i don't have any memory problems just when i'm talking i'll forget words or forget what i was talking about.  And to go with that my spelling, grammar and reading are getting worse.

Is this all normal things that occur after a concussion or should i go back to my doctor or go to the hospital?  Also should i see an eye doctor for my eyes or is that normal too?

No i have to call my doctor tomorrow because i still haven't gotten some test results back.  But today my best friend was driving around and i was so lost and confused.  And she was talking to me and telling me where we were but i couldn't understand her to save my life.  And then today i went swimming and i was doing really well today with a lessened headache and i jumped in and next thing i know my friend was holding me on the stairs while i was actually spinning.  Like not only was i just having the dizzyness where i'm still but the world is moving but imagine that and actual body spinning.  It was terrible!!

So hopefully i'm going to call my doctor tomorrow and give her this fun filled update.

I know its very strange and when i try to explain the talking thing it doesnt seem to work so i just sound crazy! lol

I saw a doctor today because of the head pains and everything and they said it should be ok and to see a doctor if you vomit. Have you been sick since your concussion?

Ive been feeling pretty naeuseas (sorry i cant spell lol) But havent actually beel ill so i guess that a good thing?

At the moment these head pains seem to be feeling worse and my neck akes alot which is bothering me a bit but the doc said should go away.

Did you tell ure doctor about ure eye problems or are you just going to wait and see the eye person?

I called her up this morning and she said if the pain and dizzyness got worse to go to the hospital to get a ct scan on my head??  At least thats what i think she said.  I don't quite remember.  But its like the same intensity so its not getting worse you can say.  The only way i've found to get rid of the headache is to take like Tylenol PM.  And that only works because i fall asleep  =/

I've also realized that if i get angry i can focus more and not be so spaced out when i talk.  But at the same time i become like a super b version of witch and that isn't fun either.

Yeah not being able to talk is very weird.  I've hit my head before but i've always been able to talk or at least make sense.  I'm hopefully going to go to an eye care place this week to get my eyes checked.  I have glasses and they make things even worse.  mostly because they are bifocals and the part where they combine makes my head spin crazy fast!!

But hey go concussion buddies right?!!?!?!?!

Hi! im having the same problem!

I first hit my head on a very hard sink on wednesday..told i had concussion and then hit it again on saturday! ...not good!

Anyway my eyes have been feeling blurry, out of focus, VERY dizzy head, heavy head,
Head pains seem to be getting worse!?? I keep like you feeling a bit 'spaced out' and drowsy. my eyes feel kinda heavy too do you get this?

And sometimes when i want to say something it almost feels like my mouth wont let me (weird huh?)

I spoke to my doctor on the phone earlier and they said to go bk tomorrow if i still felt this way so maybe you should make an appointment with your gp and tell them all this and that you dont feel right?
