Concussion 8 mos ago, corner blow top of head

I hit my head pretty hard on the corner of our 5th wheel pop out. It knocked me down, sharp corner blow, minor tiny blood, saw stars but not blacked out totally but it knocked me down.I laid there for a minute
Upon rising I walked a bit to find my husband, then a rush of nausea and heat down my face.  I was unsteady walking for just a minute. The question is, what is the effect of a top of the head concussion? Is 8 mos plenty of time to heal?  There is a pinky size dent there now. My stupid dr says everything is "psychological trauma" and just refers me to psyche. Everyone gets depression from time to time and I do have that, but concentrating, motivation, duty, follow thru....I'm  a mess. Even if I got a dr to listen at this point, what could be done? Anything I can take or do at home to help? I can see a different dr after the first of the year. We had Kaiser and changed during open enrollment to get away from them. They are zero help for me. I don't even want to talk to them I feel unheard and ridiculed. I've already made a complaint, it didnt help, so I'm changing insurance. I'm nearing 50 if that makes a difference. One brain injury in high school.
