Should I be concerned about this?

Prior to this day, I was sparring with a friend (though my fault for a late reaction) and was hit directly onto both the Temporal & the Parietal Lobe area. Though I didn't notice it right away, a sizable bump appeared ranging to a size of an inch in circumference and roughly a centimeter outward. Is it normal for the bump to become numb by an impact to the nerves of the head? (First thing I did was try to rest since Ice wasn't available at the time, and when I woke up about couple hours later.. The bump had reduced its size notably but would not feel the the coldness of the Ice pack as well as other part of the head) I had slight symptoms feeling a bit uncoordinated and a slight headache.

You had a concussion. The numbness was due to nerve entrapment. In general there is a window of opportunity to treat these injuries and it does not exceed 24 hours. The drill in an ER is to provide medications that stop brain swelling in it's tracks, generally through use of a steroid. It is impossible to say if you suffered brain damage. One school of thought is that with every concussion there is some irreversible damage to the brain. Maybe yes. Maybe no. Resting and going to sleep after a blow to the head are definitely not appropriate.

And no I did not faint or lose conscience after taking the blow.
