Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
Sharp waves represent epileptic activity. If temporal lobe is affected, then a person suffers from temporal lobe epilepsy. Usually the focus is in one temporal lobe. The epilepsy is partial in nature and one does not get the typical seizures. It could just be a stare, a twitch, a startle reflex, any neurological symptom. If there are two foci—one is each temporal lobe, then you may either have a neutralizing effect or a pronounced effect.
Please discuss this with your neurologist who can correlate the EEG reading with the symptoms you have. Take care!
