What are my symptoms of?

I have a feeling I have more going on that my anxiety/depression. I am on effexor xr 37.5 mg. I believe I may have an autoimmune disease. My symptoms are these: anxiety, weight loss, no appetite, lethargy, stomach issues, dizziness, brain fog, joint soreness, thirsty all the time, dry mouth, and muscle weakness, pain under my right rib cage and my back at my kidneys. Probably more but I can't think right now. I've had the regular standard issue blood work and it's within " normal" range. I cannot shake the feeling I have something going on that's has nothing to do with the the anxiety. I don't know who or what doctor to go see. I'm frustrated. Any feedback is appreciated

Hello~The thyroid blood test is only a "snap-shot" of what is occurring during that moment, it doesn't tell what is going on all the time. I suggest doing the Broda Barnes Basal Temperature test. You will need a basal thermometer which can be purchased at any pharmacy. Take your temperature first thing in the morning without moving, make sure you are still in bed and that you have shaken the thermometer down the night before using it so even that won't cause any extras movements, place it under your arm pit for 10 minutes, again, no moving, after ten minutes, read it, it should read no lower than 97.8 to 98.2, if it is lower, than most likely you have an issue with your thyroid. Do this for 10 days straight, and make sure you do it right after your period, otherwise, you may pick up temperatures while ovulating.  Here are some links with info on it:

You don't necessarily have to have all the symptoms to have a low or even high thyroid, everyone is different.

I would definitely also see  a Naturopath, they go into more detail than the conventional MD and will prescribe different tests, they also will recognize this basal test.

I hope you feel better soon.

I don't know what your symptoms indicate, but I wanted to tell you I agree that it is not just anxiety.  Doctors have a way of dismissing symptoms as psychological when they can't quickly find a cause.  Maybe you should explore seeing a specialist, like an endocrinologist.  It really sounds like a thyroid problem, but they must have already checked your thyroid.

Yeah they done just the regular thyroid blood test. Nothing other than that. I think it is thyroid too, but I don't have all the classic symptoms
