Blood in Phlegm

I just horked up some blood in my phlegm, this is the first time this has ever happened. Tho if I recall, it might've happened a few months ago as well, should I be worried?
Also, I just started Meditating a few weeks ago, thus I breathe deeper during those sessions, could that be a reason?

I don't think that prolonged deep breathing can cause the blood in your phlegm. I think it will be best to consult a doctor so you can be properly diagnosed.

If it continues to happen then I would make an appointment to see a doctor, it could be some minor, broken blood vessels, but when blood is involved, it is always best to have it checked.
