Body Control Issues

It started about 2 1/2 years ago... Every time I walk, exercise, ride a bike or anything of the sorts (and sometimes I can just be sitting on my couch) my body temperature feels as if it rises and I start to sweat profusely within 5 minutes. It is always to an extreme...the other day it was -5 outside and I walked 5 blocks, by the time I was half way to my destination I had to remove my hat and scarf because I was sweating and felt so hot. As an example, my 200 lb husband will be bundled up because its so cold outside and I'll be so hot to the point that i'll be down to a t-shirt and jeans. I have been to two doctors....I am not diabetic and do not have any thyroid issues, which were the first two things they checked. I am not overweight either. It has recently started to get way worse...if I drink anything hot, eat anything hot (temperature hot, not spicy), blow dry my hair, etc. I start to sweat. I did an experiment for a week, I rode my bike to and from work, when I got home I would stop outside and take my temperature, it was 94 degrees, after 10-15 minutes of cooling off my body temperature rose back up to its normal 98 degrees. They want to send me to a neurologist, but I am hesitant as the first two doctors just blew me off saying that "everyone has different reactions to exercise and temperature". I am desperate. It is at the point that it has started to embarrass me, if anyone has any ideas they would be most appreciated!

Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
If thyroid issues have been checked, consider testing for Hashimotos thyroiditis. Often the hormone levels are normal. Other possibilities are polycystic disease of the ovary, adrenal gland problems, electrolyte imbalance, anemia and intolerance to exercise. I think you should discuss these possibilities with your doctor.
Hope this helps. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!

Has anyone done a scan of your internal thermostat, the hypothalmus gland to see if a tumor/growth might be causing a malfunction in your temperature?  Has anyone suggested hyperhidrosis?  Has anyone tested your blood sodium level?
