Bruising pain but no brusing.

Hi I fell and had cellulitis in hospital on drip of anitbiotes for a week very bad brusing from my knee to my foot that was 2years ago now...some of the area felt numbish for sometime. For a month or so I have been feeling when I touch my leg from the knee to the ankle on the side of that same leg like a brusing feeling but I dont have brusing. I still have some discolouration from that fall. I sometimes have knee pain on that leg to. I am 120kg which I know doesnt help and a bad asthmaticwhich keeps me from being active even with mediation. Would that brusing feeling come from the fall or something else?

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL

Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
You need to consult a vascular specialist to rule out deep vein thrombosis and lymphangitis or inflammation of lymphatics or phlebitis or inflammation of veins. A color dopplar or duplex ultrasound or an angiogram may be required.
The other possibility is a pinched nerve in lower back. This can be diagnosed by an electrical conductivity test and MRI of lower spine.
But since there is a history of infection, consult a vascular specialist first.
Take care!
