Bruising whilst sleeping?

Hi, I'm a 16 year old female who wakes up with bruising on my knees and on my elbows very often. I don't sleep vertically, but instead in a crouched position - like a ball. My joints (elbows and knees) often hurt when I wake up and feel like they have been stretched to a great extent. Please help me, I'd very much appreciate it.

Have you pain in other areas of your body?  Crouched implies that you are partially in a standing position, do you mean more of a fetal position lying on your side crunched up as if you are in a giant egg?
Your doctor would be the one to see you, try to see a female doctor if you can, you may be more comfortable with a she than a he.

Hello~

Usually bruises are due to a result from microscopic tears in blood vessels under the skin. Unexplained bruises that occur easily or for no apparent reason may indicate a bleeding disorder, especially if the bruising is accompanied by frequent nosebleeds or bleeding gums.

I would see your doctor, ask about the pain, and have some blood work done to rule out anything serious.
