Burning Chest Sensation

Have been experiencing recent burning chest, back & limb discomfort corresponding almost precisely to descriptions I've read about costochondritis.  It began shortly after a long, hard day of strenuous outdoor activity in cold, dry air.  Could all the huffing & puffing in the cold have triggered this, and how long might it take to resolve ?  Thanks.

Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
This can be due to costochondritis, shingles, sore muscles, pinched nerve or due to Scalene Myofascial Pain Syndrome. You can apply a local analgesic and see if it helps. Otherwise consult a doctor for proper diagnosis and treatment. Take care!

If you haven't yet, I suggest that you get into your Doctor and explain your symptoms.  This could be a serious situation, or it could turn out to be nothing ut you really need to have it checked out.
