CA125 blood test and pancreas?

Hello, i’m 21 years old! So recently i’ve been having problems with my pelvic area like a little jab of pain randomly, 11 day late period, back aches, etc, so I got a CA125 blood test to check for anything serious and to rule it out. Ovarian cancer was lingering in my head since my aunt died of it. Doctors also mentioned endometriosis which could make sense since i’ve always had terrible periods. So they also scheduled me for another transvaginal ultrasound for this week to check everything as well.

Today I got the blood results back and they said everything was normal except my pancreas levels were a little elevated and they wanted to do an MRI soon. I wouldn’t never thought of my pancreas lol. Should I be concerned about the blood test since it’s only a marker? As young as I am, it’s getting me pretty emotional. Its a lot for my little heart and brain to think about. What do you guys think?

Hello~I am glad you had the CA-125 test done, and having the MRI done will be good for peace of mind as well, it is best to have things like this checked.

I hope all goes well, please let us know the outcome of the test.

I think you'll be fine.  Have whatever tests they recommend.  I think between the CA125 and the transvaginal ultrasound you can be pretty certain it's not ovarian cancer.  I'd explore what other tests you may need to get to the bottom of things.  I certainly wouldn't let it go.  Also, it's best to stay on one threat and add to that as you get information or have more questions.  It can get really hard to go back and forth through multiple posts and it's easier to get the big picture of things.  Keep us posted on what's going on.
