A NeuroGastroEnterology and Motility Center, would be the preferred choice
as the gastroenterologist may not have all the necessary advanced diagnostic equipment, nor the availability of newer therapies like: gastric electrical stimulation , and anal sphincter retraining using biofeedback.
A GP can make a referral to such a Center, in order to avoid unnecessary
delays and possible complications.

You should see a gastroenterologist to see what's wrong
You may have: motility, G/I tract sensation or brain-gut dysfunction.
It is not the place here to speculate, due to lack of key information, only available using advanced diagnostic tools.
I recommend you make an appointment with a reputable Neuro-gastro-enterology (it;s a mouthful, lol!) and Motility Center in your area, if this is a
chronic issue for you.
Best wishes,
Niko
