Chronic foot pain

Hello, I need opinions. I've had chronic foot pain for over two years. I've seen podiatrists, neurologists, rheumatologists, endocrinologists, chiropractors, alternative med doctors, and several other types of specialists. I've had a spinal tap, MRIs, X-rays, brain scans, ENGs, nerve conduction studies, TONS of bloodwork, and electrostimulation. I've bought new shoes, changed my diet drastically, detoxed my body, and so many other things to try to help. I was referred to the Mayo Clinic where I was diagnosed with evidently a derivative of Fibromyalgia called Central Sensitivity Syndrome and not given any prognosis or plan of action.

All of the testing showed a slight narrowing of my spinal canal, an extra vertebrae in my lumbar spine, thoracic scoliosis, degenerative discs, bulging discs, no nerve damage anywhere, and only very mild structural issues in my feet including low arches.

The pain is all across the entire bottoms of both feet from the tips of each toe, across the bridge of each toe, the ball and pads of my feet, the arches, and especially the heel... Including the back of my heels. I do have chronic pain elsewhere that is consistent with fibromyalgia like in my neck and back, but the pain in my feet is very different. At night I have to hang my feet off the edge of my bed so they don't touch anything. Just resting on top of the sheets makes them hurt.

I am 29 years old, female, 160lbs... Slightly overweight but only recently and because I can't be as active as I used to be. Any other questions that might help, please ask.

Thank you SO much for that insight! I am simply grateful for the recognition that I'm not insane or making it up. I'll request those tests right away and follow up here with an update.

Thanks again!

Well, it definitely involves neurotransmitter dysregulation and possibly thyroid function.

Dr. Lowe from the Fibromyalgia Research Foundation supports the premise that most fibromyalgia patients are either hypothyroid or thyroid hormone resistant.

To rule this in or out you must forgo the standard serum thyroid testing (TSH, T3&T4) which only indicate... serum levels
and ask for Free T3, Free T4 and Reverse T3  to test for accurate thyroid
cellular FUNCTION! These may not have an insurance code specially RT3, so you may have to pay out of pocket, but it is vital to have this done properly.
It could potentially save you from many years of unnecessary suffering!

I hope this helps.
