Constipation and Painful Urination at the Same Time..Please HELP!

About 2-3 days ago, I started having painful urination. Also, it's been about 8-9 days since I've been able to poop and it's painful when I try. I recently just tried an enema for my problem, and it's helped very little and causing burning when it leaves my body. Whenever I wipe, there is usually a little bit of blood, almost to none. Also, when I wipe, it feels like my anus is tearing to my vagina. I've tried foods that make you go to the bathroom and I've been taking my birth control and drinking fluids everyday. When I urinate, the pain gets worse each time. It's so bad that I cry. Sometimes when I wipe, it's an off color and sometimes looks like it may have a little blood in it, but it's not really noticeable. There has also been this weird looking tissue coming out.. it has just been dropping out of my anus, but no poop will come out. I've also been getting more discharge than usual and it's becoming very uncomfortable. Both of these problems I'm having-painful urination and constipation- have been making my life more stressful and painful. What could be my problem?

Glad to hear that you have seen the doctor and no doubt he has given you all the medications that you need to get you well again.

As both of you were virgins, then you can rule out getting genital warts through sexual contact.  The only other way is if either you or your boyfriend have had any warts on your hands and fingers.

Sometimes doctors do mistake spots, bumps and skin tags as warts in the early stages and the other way round.

Has the doctor said that he will be removing them when you are healed and have them analysed?

In the meantime, and you are likely not to be wanting to have any, is do not take part in any sexual activity until you are completely healed and these "warts" are sorted out and removed.

As you have a thrush infection, if the doctor has given you a cream to apply for that then you can do that.  If he prescribed you with a one single dose oral capsule (Fluconazole) that you drink with water, then wait until you have finished your antibiotics.  You can purchase Fluconazole over the counter from the pharmacist as well as any fungal creams for the genitals.

Antibiotics will kill of your good bacteria as well as the bad ones, and it encourages yeast to grow that is why it is best to take any oral medication for fungal infections when you have completed the course of antibiotics.

As a home remedy and to get relief from thrust in the mouth and in the genital area is to apply natural set yogurt after the private parts have been washed and dried gently.  Natural yogurt is cooling and relieves the itching and soreness that you get with thrush.

Your boyfriend may also need to be treated against thrush even though he has no symptoms - your doctor should advise you on that.  Some men do not get any symptoms, or he may feel itchy.  If you are not both treated, you can pass the yeast infection back and forth to each other.

Do not use soap, shower gels or feminine sprays in your private area.  This changes the pH level of the skin and encourages thrush to thrive.  Fungus likes to have warm, dark and moist areas.  You can also get thrush in the mouth.  So if you have a uncomfortable mouth or throat and see white marks or have a white tongue, the chances are that you have oral thrush.
The Fluconazole would get rid of the thrush in your system.  Otherwise you would need an oral antifungal medication called Daktarin for oral use or Nystatin, specifically for use in the mouth.

Also only wear cotton underwear and don't wear tights or tight clothing.
The same applies to your boyfriend.

Make sure that you drink plenty of water so that you do not become dehydrated.  With any urinary infection is it very important to keep drinking, even though it hurts when you urinate.  2-3 litres of water per day is usually recommended but may be more if you workout and sweat a lot.

Wishing you a speedy recovery.

Thanks. I went to the doctor. It is a UTI and yeast. Also a tear between my lady area and anus. I have bumps down there too (warts), which means it can be an STD, but it doesn't make sense to me because I've only been with 1 person, my boyfriend. He's only been with me. We haven't had any other partners. I've been with him over 2 and a half years, and never had any problems. Do you know any other reasons why I might have genital warts?

You should make an appointment with your doctor as soon as possible.

Not being able to go to the toilet for 8-9 days and having extreme pain doing so can be quite serious.  Pain with urination also needs investigating, but this is usually from a urinary tract infection like Cystitis.

The doctor will be able to prescribe medication to loosen your faeces and examine you or send you to the appropriate specialist to check out if there is anything wrong with your bowels.  Blood on the toilet paper when you wipe may be from haemorrhoids or from a fissure which is a tear in the colon that is caused by straining with hard faeces.

The doctor can also prescribe Proctosedyl ointment and pessaries to help ease the haemorrhoids and heal the fissure if you have one.

Don't suffer in silence.  Go and see your doctor and he will be able to help you out and get you on the road to recovery.  The sooner you go the sooner you will get better.

Some medications that you may be on can draw out the moisture from the stools making them hard.  I was prescribed with Macrogol and Movicol which soften the stools.  You mix the compound with water and drink it.  You drink as many as you require and you can add juice to it to flavour it.  Your doctor may prescribe something different.

I know you may not like to go and see the doctor because it is embarrassing, but doctors see all parts of the body all the time.  So do not worry about it and go and get checked out before you get much worse.

Let us know you get on.

Best wishes.

urinary track infection could be it.
Also Vaginitis can cause all types of issues, check this link from the mayo clinic
http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/vaginitis/DS00255/DSECTION=symptoms

Also, medication can do it.  You on something like Adderall, weight loss drugs, or pain meds.  All cause constipation among other things.  If the blood from your rectum is bright colored its from the rectum and not your intestines, if it is dark red or turns dark red, then GO TO THE DR.  Either way, have you had unprotected sex, sex with multiple partners or recent trauma to you lower body.  If so go to the dr, or free clinic.  Either way after 10 days you should seek medical attention, something could be wrong with your stomach, or intestines that needs to be looked at.
good luck

It sounds like you have a bladder infection (UTI) caused by constipation.

When you don't have a BM for several days,  the colon can fill and cause the urethra to crimp,  and the bladder doesn't empty fully.

At this point,  you should go in to your regular doctor or a doc in a box type clinic and get your urine checked for an infection.  The sooner the better,  before your UTI spreads to your kidneys and causes worse problems.

Over the counter meds,  and cranberry supplements,  don't cure infections once they begin but can be useful in preventing future bladder infections.

You should try something like Metamusal for softening and bulk.  You should also eat something like Yogurt with probiotics or just get some Probiotic pills.  You should notice  difference in two to three days.

Good luck.
