Hello, I am a female patient, 22 years old, 43.5kg, 5'4''
Current condition: The past 2-3months I've been suffering dizziness, headahces, chest pain and sweating after eating or through the day. Doctor says I should eat more between meals and gain weight.

Since I was 14 I have had the same size and weight, therefore I don't see why my weight might be the issue. I believe he thinks i have an eating disorder, just for my low weight, but that's not the case.

Medical history: lactose intolerance, esophagitis, fibroadenoma
Family medical history: maternal aunt (breast cancer, hashimoto thyroiditis), maternal uncle (melanoma), maternal uncle (lung cancer), maternal uncle (hypothyroidism), maternal grandmother (bladder cancer).
Current activity: dental student, I take periapical radiographs every week and have a tight schedule but never skip 3 meals a day.

Blood tests

OUT OF RANGE RESULTS HEMATOLOGY
LYN 54% 25.00-45.00
HCM 31.9 pg 26.00-31.00
CHCM 34.4 g/dL 31.000-36.00
MPV 6.5 fL 6.5 - 12.0

BQ

BASAL GLUCOSE 75.9 mg/dl --------
GLUCOSE 1H 106.9 mg/dl ---------------
GLUCOSE 73.6 mg/dl -----

H

FT3 4.3 pmol/L 3.00-8.00
FT4 1.76 ng/dl 0.93-1.70
TSH 1.77 uUl/ml 0.27

I've been taking B vitamins since I got these results a month ago, feel better but still uncomfortable (dizziness and tireness persist), and I need to know what's going on with me. Since I've been taking vitamins B, I've noticed that my stools are less yellowish, and are normal brown. I've googled my conditions and I am no doctor, and I shouldn't believe everything I read on the internet, but I'm . I'm willing to be guided by a specialist, but since my doctor says I'm fine .. I seek for a second opinion. Thanks!

Hello~Some of your symptoms actually point to food allergies/intolerance. Have you been tested for any allergies, they can really be hard to detect, but once discovered, the symptoms can actually disappear.

Your symptoms also point to unstable blood sugar, but you have had the tests for that. That being said, have you had the 3 or 6 hour glucose tolerance test or an A1c test. Either one of these tests may be warranted to truly rule out a hidden blood sugar disorder.

I hope you feel better soon. God bless you.

Look into a condition called MALS (Median Arcuate Ligament Syndrome). Your symptoms seem like a close match for the problems cause by this rarely diagnosed abnormality.

Your FT3 should ideally be in the middle of the range or a bit higher. It's just slightly above 25% over the minimum.
However the FT4 being above range, may be reason enough to investigate secondary hypothyroidism.
The TSH information is incomplete. Please check it out
and re-post.

Best wishes,
Niko.

OK, I tried to piece together your thyroid labs in a way that makes more sense.
Interpretation of these could be tricky.

Anyway, your above range FT4, low normal range FT3 and your slightly below mid-range TSH can be attributed to: early stage Hashimoto's
Thyroiditis.
Excess T4 thyroid hormone from the damaged thyroid gland, spills out and into the blood circulation.

You can ask for Reverse T3 testing, which your body would be converting from T4, to lower free T3, to avoid excessive thyroid stimulus.

Also anti-TPO and anti-TG would be necessary to diagnose Hashimoto's.

Please ask your doctor to look into this and if s/he is not experienced
in this area (as I suspect) you should seek the help of a good Endocrinologist.
You really need to rule out Hashimoto's or other related thyroid issues.

Regarding your dizziness and headaches after eating, look into
histamine intolerance.
An easy way, as a trial is to avoid high histamine foods.
If you have a histamine converting issue (to methionine), you may take B12 in Methylocobalamin form along with Methylfolate.

if you have any questions, just post again or message me.

Best wishes,
Niko
Thank you very much!
