Dizziness after eating or drinking water + itching on scalp

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone of you could tell me a solution or point me in the right direction for these two problems of mine.

1) The first problem is whenever I eat or drink anything, i get dizzy for a few seconds, like 5-20 seconds. This happens a lot and it's been happening for almost an year now.

2) The second one is I feel itchy, like something's crawling on/inside my scalp (head) at random points of time. No, there are no bed bugs, & no it's not hair products, I have checked those. This problem has been there for like six months.

*Things that could be related to these symptoms, I use a lot of headpohones (not earplugs, the big ones) as I am usually sitting on the computer most of the day with little body activity. & I drink 3-4 cups of green tea a day. I stopped using green tea for a few days, but it didn't help.

I have tried searching forums but couldn't find a solution for these problem of mine. I'd really love if someone could maybe guide me or tell me if there's anything to worry. I am getting paranoid here & I am afraid to go to the doctor.

THANKS.

When you eat are you bending your neck and head down looking at your foo?  You do not need to answer that, it is just a thought.

If you your dizzy sensations may be stemming from your neck.

Green tea is an antioxidant and would not give you any side effects.

Do you notice whether your head itches more at certain times?  You may have an allergy to the pillow (especially if this is a feather one) or the washing detergent.  I find that when my hair gets wet with rain, my head start to itch a lot.  It may be that your scalp is dry and that will cause itching.

I know that you say that you have ruled out shampoos and conditioners, but have you tried medicated shampoos?  Your pharmacist may be able to help you with regard to that.

The itchiness may also be due to a fungal problem.  You could rub some coconut oil into the scalp or get an antifungal shampoo from the pharmacy.

It is also possible that the electric static and the dry atmosphere  in your work environment may be the cause.  To help with that, broad leaved plants and the spider plant (chlorophytum) may help.

Antihistamine medication will help to alleviate or lessen the itching.

Let us know how you get on.

My guess regarding the dizziness would be to do with your ear fluid level and sinuses and the chewing motions made while eating. Some people with allergy symptoms get dizzy often from the fluid levels in the ears.  The semicircular canals could also have a small "crystal" formation that is floating around inside them and that can also lead to dizziness.  With the chewing action, your ears internally will move some and this movement could be aggravating that "crystal".  A good exercise for stopping this bothersome problem is called Cawthorne's Head exercises.  It will help move that crystal out of that region so that dizziness goes away.  You may have to do those occasionally, but they do help!  AS far as the itching, is it related to getting goose bumps or goose flesh?  When I get those or "chills not due to being cold" my scalp itches crazy as well.  I believe your headphones could be the cause of it, but if it were only in the location of where they sit on your head.   You could try an over the counter allergy medicine to see if that helps with the itch due the the antihistamine effect they have.  Good luck!
