Elevated B12

Hello,
I am a 22 year old male. I recently had a b12 test and it came out high- 1350pg/ml. I looked it up and it seems this could be a sign of something more ominous like liver or blood problems. Is this something I should be concerned about?

Do you take a supplement with B-12 in it - even a multi-vitamin?  If so, stop the supplement for a few weeks and retest.

B-12 isn’t toxic, meaning you’ll, typically pee out excess unless there’s another issue.  See your doctor for the best information.

Well, just to be complete, some B12 is stored in the liver, but unlikely this is causing anything to show up in a test.

Are you saying you had a blood test that checked a lot of things and B12 looked high, or are you saying you had a test that only checked for B12?  If the latter, why?  At any rate, whenever you have a blood test the doc who ordered the test is the person to ask, and when they do a test, they should have sent you a report giving their analysis of your results and if it's something to be concerned about.  It's good when testing for nutrients to get tested more than once, as levels can vary a lot depending on when you tested, what you ate, if you're taking a supplement, etc.
