Fever Unknown Origin

My16 year old daughter has been running  fever for 9 weeks, she also has extreme fatigue, headaches, night sweats, and muscle weakness (difficulty going down the stairs).  She has been tested for mono (cytomegalovirus antibody, & Epstein barr) TB( QuatinFeron Gold) Toxoplasmosis Antibody, Rickettsial Antibody, Valley fever ( CF Titer and Coccidiodes Antibody) and chest X-ray - all negative as her illness started with respiratory issues.

She then started having cardiac issues.  Orthostatic intolerance, hypertensive, and tachicardic.  Her EKG and cardio echogram all came back fine, and in the last three weeks her blood pressure and heart rate have normalized.

She was had multiple blood cultures,  CBC's, and CBC with differential, C-Reative protein, Immunoglobulin A, M, and G, Lactate Dehydrogenase, sed rate, Tcell subsets extended, HIV, and uric acid lab work.

All testing has come back normal.

She has seen a cardiologist and a infectious disease specialist who have been unable to find out what is wrong and are suggesting we wait and see if it doesn't self resolve.  She currently sleeps 16+ hrs a day, and has no appetite, and can't go up and down the stairs by her self.  She can't stand or walk any distance with out getting dizzy, and frequently has headaches. She has been pulled out of school also.

Does anyone have any suggested course of testing or recommendations?

Hi Jen -
Thank you for responding! She had an ANA test done that also came back negative although I have read that does not rule out auto immune diseases.  She was also screened for thyroid function, and antibodies and thyroglobulin antibodies - also negative. I will research Lupus - thank you.

Has your daughter been checked out for any parasites or worms?
If she has an infestation of any of these, that can make her extremely ill too.

Even though she may not have any appetite, ensure that she drinks plenty of fluids, fruit juice, watery soups, jello.  Chicken consome soup is very good.   My daughter always asked for that when she was very ill.  Dehydration can make her feel unwell too.
