Persistent nausea and vomiting

A little over a month ago I was hit suddenly with something resembling a stomach bug (fever, chills, nausea, vomiting, etc.) The next day the all the symptoms were gone except for the nausea and vomiting. The vomiting wasn't constant like it had been the first day. After a week, I went to the doctor where they did a rapid flu test which came back negative. Another week with the symptoms and I went back where they took blood and stool samples, all which came back with no abnormalities. After about a month I went to the gastroenterologist who did a endoscopy and saw that I have gastritis due to all the vomiting. I was never really given a good explanation as to the cause of the nausea and vomiting or any ways to relieve the symptoms so I can get back to life. It seems I have bad days and good days but haven't had any great days. Sometimes I can hold food down while other times I can't. SOMEONE PLEASE HELP!!!!

So just constant nausea and vomiting? It would be hard for me to make a stab at a diagnosis, I have experienced similar symptoms to you on and off for 15 or so years. I do have GERD but thats separate from the nausea. Do you have any other symptoms? If you can't pinpoint any other symptoms I would suggest looking up foods/supplements to help with the nausea. In my state we have medicinal marijuana which could very well help stimulate your appetite and settle the stomach (works for me).

No the nausea and vomiting comes and goes
I would highly recommend looking for ways to reduce your nausea. So the less you throw up you will be able to heal your GI tract. Have you gone on any acid-reflux medications? There are some over the counter H2 blockers you could look up. This way it will reduce the amount of stomach acids produced for you. This can allow for a more efficient healing if you have any damage(assuming you more than likely do from vomiting). Again maybe some supplements for anti-nausea as well? I'm not too familiar with any off hand but I imagine you can find something with a little research.
