Generally unwell

I am just new here but hoping someone can help me. I am 19 and for the past 5 months or so i have been suffering from severe tiredness, a constant unwell feeling and joint pain. Have been for numerous blood tests and heart tests and nothing has came back conclusive. I dont have arthritis and my gp has also ruled out ME. Sometimes my heart rate goes through the roof with no explanation and leaves me feeling dizzy. I have been sent home on numerous occasions from work due to the unwell feeling (which can only be described as nausea) and i sometimes suffer from an upset stomach and mild back pain. I am on no other medication other than my pill but apparently that isnt the cause either. Im feeling just stuck the now, scared i'm going to be like this forever. Any advice would be grateful. Thanks.

Are you stressed about anything or has something happened recently, you soundvery anxious and believe me all these symptoms you are getting can happen when you are stessed and anxious

i am now on a course of antidepressents and have been referred to a councellor but not able to see them until April. I have also started having anxiety attacks, they have to be the scariest things that have happened to me. Not too sure if the antidepressants are working to be honest. Its a long dark tunnel and its hard to believe that I am going to get better. Some days are better than others but I just hope that one day I will get there!!
My doctor has referred me to a rheumatology specialist for my constant joint and muscle pain but inly God knows if something is actually going to come of it as I have been in this position since I was 16. It doesn't exactly help that the factors triggering my stress don't seem to be going away ie my family life.
what's your position canadaguy273?

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
Extreme fatigue could be due to menopause/hormonal imbalance of PCOD/low testosterone in males, anemia, diabetes, hypothyroidism, or due to kidney or liver problems. Another possibility is sleep disturbances (like sleep apnea, imbalance of rapid eye and non rapid eye movement sleep etc.). You may sleep your customary 7-8 hours and yet feel fatigued. You need sleep studies to rule this out. Other possibilities are chronic fatigue syndrome, depression, low Vit b12, low iron, low calcium, sodium and potassium. Hyperthyroidism too causes increased sweating and tiredness.   Postviral fatigue syndrome is another possibility. Persisting EBV infection or mono can also be the cause. A comprehensive investigation is required keeping all the points in mind. Do discuss this with your doctor and get yourself examined. Take care!
