MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
Considering your age it looks like an infected hair follicle or a boil/ cyst. Boils are caused by infection of the hair follicle by staph aureus. Apply warm compresses, Neosporin ointment and calamine lotion and avoid messing with it. You can take anti-inflammatory pain killers like ibuprofen or acetaminophen. If the lump persists then it will be best to get it evaluated from a dermatologist.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.

Relax! If it is an ingrown hair you will have to dig a little with tweezers (sterilized) and remove the hair. Just dont hurt yourself and dont freak out! My Boyfriend gets them a fair bit, its normal, girls get them (especially if we shave or wax our privates) if you have a girlfriend get her to do it, women are very understanding.
