Causes of pain in left front neck?
Hello,
For the past two days I've been experiencing mild, dull pain and pressure on the left front side of my neck. It comes and goes off and on throughout the day. For the first day, the pain radiated to the left jaw, and for a while seemed to originate from the jaw. Today the pain and pressure is better, but is now radiating to a slight soreness in the left collarbone area. I've also noticed that the pressure sometimes moves up toward the sinuses. I can also feel the pressure slightly in my throat. I have been experiencing some sinus pressure, along with a slightly stuffy nose and post-nasal drip.
I am pretty concerned because the pain's obvious proximity to the carotid artery, which could mean an aneurysm, clot, or tear. From what I've researched online, the pain/pressure could also be from the lymph nodes (doubtful because it doesn't feel the same as the lymph node pain I've experienced in the past) or a strained muscle.
I'm hoping someone could give me some advice/suggestions as to what may be causing my discomfort.
