I can feel and see bumps in the back of my throat...

A few days ago I noticed I could feel something in the back of my throat. I checked and found several bug-bite like bumps. I do not feel any pain or swelling. I went to the doctor and she said nothing looked abnormal and that "the throat can look weird if you're not used to looking at it" but I can definitely feel that there is something there. It doesn't hurt but it's annoying. It's like having food stuck in the back of my throat but all the time. I know the bumps have not always been there but I haven't found anything conclusive online to explain them. They just look like little mosquito bites. Any ideas?
