Headache pressure

On day, I had a strong dizzy spell followed by what I thought was a typical migraine.  Now, for the past 6 weeks, I have had severe headaches that mimic migraines, but with pressure building in the left temple, the center back of my head and forehead.  It feels as if cement has been packed into the left temple and I am wearing a cement helmet on top of my head all day, every day.  If I lay flat on the back of my head, the pressure immediately builds around my left temple.  CT scan, MRI and MRA all negative.  Awaiting CT of sinuses.  Prednisone, Z-pack, Midrin, Ibuprofen nor Butalbital have helped.

Hi
Thanks for writing to the forum!
Your symptoms can be due to sinusitis. Your reports will confirm that. The other possibilities are cervical nerve not compression, internal ear problems, dental caries, temporal arteritis, migraine, tension headaches and high blood pressure. In case you test negative for sinusitis you will need to explore these possibilities.
Hope this helps. Do let me know if there is any thing else and keep me posted. Take care!

Hey Rita,

Just been looking over your question and just want to try and re-assure you that it wont be anything to worry about. Over a year ago i was suffering, day in, day out with headaches...I felt like someone was holding my head as the pressure was so bad. I felt like my whole face hurt aswell, couldnt focus proper either. Went to hospital and found out I had sinus-itus!! Had a course of antibiotics and by the end of the course i felt as fit as a fiddle! Sounds to me as though thats what u have as I was suffering with the exact same symptoms as you.

Hope your feeling well soon hun,

Take care

Keely
