High Red Blood Cells count

Can metromenorrhagia and ovarian cyst be the cause of Hi RBC count?...Had blood test for insurance and was denied. RBC cout was 30 back in March 14. I just recently had another one done 2 days ago, so I will check. Back then I had had my period for a month and a half....lasted two months with heavey bleeding towards the end. Had a two week break, and again for another month and a half but less intense. During the medical check up for  the second insurance, the found an ovarian cyst with the U/S. Just wondered if this excessive bleeding can be the cause of the hi count. Yes, I will have all this in order once I find out if I am going to have insurance, and then Ill know what to do.
Thank you for any input you may give me....

Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
High RBC are usually due to dehydration or low oxygen as in high altitudes and in lung disorders such as asthma. Congenital heart disease, some kidney problems and polycythemia vera are the other causes of increased RBC.
The excessive bleeding can be due to the ovarian cyst, hormonal disorders, fibroids or endometriosis. It’s unlikely to be related to the high RBC count. You need a gynecological consultation for this. Take care!
